We had a ball this weekend.

Matt dumped Morgan's rubber ball collection down the stairs. Twice.
Admin playing in the pool.
Shopping buddies.
Okay, so Christina's birthday didn't really have anything to do with balls but I did not want to deviate from the theme. Happy 26th!

I've been thinking about what to get you all for Christmas.....(it's only 4 months away you know!)

I think I'll get FS a subscription to his favorite magazine.
Then I'll look into buying Sky her dream home. And hiring a tree trimmer for her.
Next, I can get the same t-shirt for both admin and islandrider.

After that, I'll order Jen her dream scent.

Last but not least, I'll buy nb a charm to wear as a reminder of his summer bff.

Weekend with the Wilsons

Blake's 15th birthday, Bryan folding Matt up in the couch, boating to dinner, golf cart rides, Lucy sleeping between Gary and Lisa, tubing, swimming, feeding the fish, awsome music, watching Holly dive, naps on the boat, and the yummy food. I'm pretty sure I gained 10 pounds. We can honestly say that we enjoyed every minute. So fun!

a few things..

So we went over to talk to our new neighbors last night. Lucy welcomed them to the neighborhood by throwing up in their living room. Did I mention that they had new carpet installed yesterday?
Tyson has new chicken breasts called "trimmed and ready". They already have the gross fat cut off of them! This is life changing for me.
I got my first negative feedback on ebay. It was bound to happen sometime.
After much discussion, it looks like the Varsity class reunion might just actually happen.

This is to islandrider....

Your blog will only let me leave one comment so I will try and answer your question here. Why is the term "orientals" suddenly taboo? The Orient is a region and does not contain all of the said "orientals" therefore making it an inadequate term. That point alone does not make it offensive, I know. As the times change, our voacbularies change. We don't say negro or colored anymore even though, at one time, these were considered common and neutral labels. Personally I feel like "orientals" sounds ignorant, not offensive. Race issues are new ground to this white bread girl. I'm trying to figure this stuff out, too.

Grrrr....

I really do love eBay. I made $80 last week and so far this week I've made close to $30. It's the best place to get rid of stuff and the greatest place to track down hard to find items. Yesterday, I bought a lamp that matches that groovy nursery set we're using for Oliver. It's usually a fun experience.
The only downside to the world's largest marketplace is dealing with stupid people. This world is full of them and we've met quite a few of them this week at the fair. I would say that for every 50 items I sell on eBay, one of these items goes to an ignorant individual who then causes a stink and makes me regret ever selling anything at all.
I am currently dealing with such a person. She bought three items of toddler clothing from me. She got quite the steal considering the shirts still had the tags on and she only paid $.99 for all three. She emailed me yesterday to let me know that one of the shirts was only a size 12 months and I had listed them to be a size 12-18 months. She said that size 12 months was too small for her child. I'm sure that you all with children have picked up by now that the stupidity of her claim is that size 12 months and 12-18 months are the same size! Everyone other than her knows that! Anyway, she wants a refund which is totally understandable considering that this one shirt cost her .33 cents!!!! She wants me to pay for her s&h which no seller on ebay does.
Thanks so much for letting me vent. I appreciate it.

We have much to discuss....

1. Welcome Amy Muncy!
2. Matt and I googled it last night and it seems Blake Shelton (a.k.a. nb's bff) filed for divorce in Feb. Keeping track of these b-list country stars' lives can be so confusing!
3. We have learned this week that unless you are inebriated you cannot put on a good concert. All of the acts have liquored themselves up before and during their performances. I don't know why I am surprised.
4. Sky- where have you been?
5. Indulge me for a moment while I give you a quick adoption update. We were told that we would receive our referral in July. Now it's August and we are #9 on the waiting list. We will hopefully know something within the next 2 weeks. I met a mom of a Chinese adoptee who told me that her agency lost their paperwork so it took a lot longer than normal. Not too reassuring. The good news is that after a referral, he will be given clearance to travel within 2-4 months.
