The fair starts today!!!!

So we had our orientation last night for our jobs in the grandstand. Let me just tell you that working at the fair is an absolute dream come true. There is nothing about summer that I love more than the fair. Being a part of it this year will be a blast. Toy Helen is hoping to spot some fence jumpers and I'm looking forward to possible intoxications. We love the controversial, right Chuck?

I have 3 main fears; heights, propellers, and underwater (I can't even watch Finding Nemo). The lake combines 2 of these horrors. Matt has begged me for years to let him take our girls on the boat. I've had many a nightmare over it. Well, I finally decided to suck it up and submit. We had a great time. Maggie even tubed.
In other news..........
We got a new neighbor this weekend named Ulysses Grant. Seriously.
The fair begins in 4 days!!!
Sky- that Old Navy sale was awesome!! Thanks so much for telling me about it. It was almost as good as your apple pie.

Today was a fun day. It began and ended in the pool. Sandwiched in between the swimming was an outing to the Discovery Center, playdate at the Jeppsen's, and Mcalister's for dinner. It was kids eat free night so all 7 of us ate for $14.00. Matt loves that!
I am currently seeing how long I can make it without having to grocery shop. 2 weeks and counting.....
Anyone else about done with this heat?

6 years of wedded bliss!

We spent the weekend in Branson to celebrate our anniversary. We had great fun hanging out by the pool playing sudoku.
We ate our very favorite meal in the whole world, bruschetta from Rocky's.
The Cates joined us on Saturday for some boat time on the lake and dinner. What did you guys do this weekend?

Today is my grandma's 87th birthday. We had a great lunch at the tea room. Isabelle celebrated this special occasion by wearing blue eyeshadow and perfume.

Texas

We had a great time in Texas. We spent Friday at Ikea (amazing!!!) and Saturday at my cousin's wedding. I read all 400+ pages of a Mary Lincoln biography in the car. I'm still a little bummed for having to miss Firefall but I'm glad we went.
