This was Matt's nursery set when he was a baby. I know that these aren't the best pictures but they were taken in the attic. The second picture is of the end of the crib. There is also a changing table which Matt didn't photograph. Now my question for the bloggers and readers is... should we use it? We are unsure. Missy says yes and I usually agree with her taste. That's the only opinion we have gotten so far. Please let me know what you think. Is it retro cool or just too groovy (as Kendra would say)? Thanks!!
These are a few of my favorite new things:
First there was an invitation to a bridal shower (my cousin's), a snazzy revamped High Street Highway, a flip-flop chain letter from Mandy, and good ads. (You know, ads that are for things other than just pizza and tires.) Then, as I was opening all of the bills and credit card offers, I happened upon IT. The letter that I have been anticipating for months. It was thin which usually means disappoiontment. I read the first line with great fear and trepidation: "On behalf of Steven Curtis Chapman and his wife Mary Beth, we are pleased (this is when I started to let myself get excited) to notify you that you have been approved for an adoption assistance grant in the amount of $3000." Any of you familiar with the adoption rigamaroo know that assistance is hard to come by if you are adopting a healthy baby as opposed to a special needs or older waiting child. It is even harder to get when you have 2 biological children and the physical capability to have more. We are thrilled for this help! We cannot wait to see how God will be providing the next $8,000!
With Chandler gone to JV camp, we had a girly girl great time. (We love you Chan but some things you just can't do with a boy around!) We made swim bags on Monday and then planned a tea party for Tuesday. We invited those Jeppsen girls to join us. The girls ate tea sandwiches and parfaits before playing with paperdolls. What fun!
